Low voltage lighting is accomplished by taking a high voltage power source (ie. 120/240/277v) and reducing it down to low voltage (ie. 12/24v) via a transformer that typically contains a control source as well (ie. timer/photocell).
Low voltage technology has improved by leaps and bounds over the past few years, particularly with LEDs, which have all kinds of intensities, beam spreads and color temperatures that can effectively illuminate almost any object or setting for a fraction of the power usage and infinitely longer rated life. Low voltage wiring is safer than high voltage and more flexible as it can be ran as direct burial cable and easily hidden and normally much less expensive to install or repair than high voltage wiring. As state licensed electrical contractors, Premier Outdoor Lighting is capable of both high and low voltage lighting.
Premier's reputation for creative and breathtaking lighting effects is second to none, and the low voltage lighting lets us to use our imagination in designing night scenes that allows our trained technicians work their magic. In other words, we visualize it and we can make it happen.
